" I'm the proud owner of Southern Remedy LLC.
I found my passion of caring for people at a young age. Hospice has been intertwined in my life since I was a child, helping my mom with her father in his final days.
In 2013, I stayed bedside with my paternal grandfather as he passed in hospice and that experience fueled my desire to help people in any way I can.
I worked with one of our local Hospice organizations for 7 years before I took the leap to start Southern Remedy LLC.
I have over 13 years of experience in my field & come with personal experience as well.
I was blessed to be a caregiver to my amazing Grandmother, holding her hand until her heart of gold stopped beating at 93.
I understand the true honor of caring for others in their time of need while also being of support to their loved ones while on their care journey.
My heart is full of compassion for each of our clients and I ensure daily that only the absolute best care is provided for everyone on our services.
That is the Southern Remedy Promise."
Assistance with grocery shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping, light pet care, medication reminders, pharmacy pick-up, transportation to appointments & more! Our goal is to help keep seniors as independent as possible for as long as possible in their homes.
We like to say we’re in the business of “Refilling Caregiver Cups” by offering support & respite care to overwhelmed Caregivers. Caregiver Burnout is a state of physical, emotional & mental exhaustion that can happen when you dedicate time & energy to manage the health and safety of someone else. This type of care helps to alleviate some of the house load, provide an opportunity for the caregiver to go to appointments for themselves or practice much needed self-care.
We visit those residing in nursing facilities which is most beneficial for families still actively in the workforce or living out of town. We help keep an eye out for any extra care needs, bring approved treats & provide compassionate companionship to help prevent loneliness and depression.
This service can be provided in a private home setting, in nursing facilities, hospitals or hospice. Our compassionate caregivers will keep your loved one company during the day or closely monitor them throughout the night. We ensure their safety and alert family/facility staff of any care needs that arise. We send visit updates which provide our families with peace of mind so that they’re able to truly rest.
Our caregivers are experienced in Alzheimer's Dementia care. We provide patient redirection and mental stimulation through conversation & activities tailored to the person’s abilities, which can help reduce confusion and anxiety.
Some of our clients are snowbirds, so we preform home checks when asked or scheduled. This helps to catch any issues that may arise with water leaks, work orders etc.
Many of our clients travel, so we provide them with peace of mind knowing their home/ pets are doing fine while they're away.
We provide updates & assist with home repair appointments when needed.
